        Teaching Aims:

        Knowledge aim: students can use these words to express where the place is :behind, in front of...

        Ability aim: Students can use the words and sentences in real circumstances

        Emotional aim: Students can help the other when they work in groups, and cooperate with others and finish the task fluently.

        Key points and difficult points:

        Key point: Students can master the pronunciation and the meaning of the new words and can master the usage of the sentence.

        Difficult point: Students can use the words and sentences in real circumstances

        Teaching Procedures:

        Step 1: warming up

        1. Let students play a game: listen and do. (review the words: go straight, turn left, turn right)

        2. Invite one student on the map, other students try to use”turn left, turn right, go straight...”direct her.

        Step 2: presentation

        1. Teach : map, compass, GPS, stars, work, follow me and a new feature.

       ?、賁how the picture about the words, and ask some questions:

        Q1: If we get lost. What should we do? What can we use?

        Q2: Where can we see GPS?

        Q3: What can robot do?

        Invite some students to read the new words loudly, and others read after him/her.

       ?、?Ask students to read the passage and underline the words they can’t understand it. Try to learn it by dictionary, and share it on the blackboard. Student may give the explain the new words, like:

        follow me : come with me

        Work: 奏效,起作用( in this text)

        3. Read the text, and answer the questions.

        (1) What’s Robin’s new feature?

        (2) How many places did they pass by?

        (3)In the first picture, where are they?

        (4)How about picture 2?

        Teach can invite students write the answer on the blackboard. Then ask students try to use the pencil and box to translation it, and then ask them use “in front of ” “behind” make sentences.

        4. Ask student to read in group , and try to retell the story to their partner. After that, invent students, tell the story in front of the class. The best group can get 5 points.

        Step 3 : Consolidation

        Group work: Draw a map of the way to go to restaurant. The best one can get 5 points. When they finish it, ask them hang their maps on the blackboard and introduce it.

        Ask the whole class which group do the best and why.

        Step 4:Homework

        1. Listen to the tape and read the text .

        2. Use the new words make two sentences.
